Earth Rated Certified Compostable Waste Bags Review | Vegetable Based Biodegradable Zero-Waste Dog Waste Bags

Given it’s great pricing and the CERTIFIED compostable, vegetable-based bag (a major step up from plastic or EPI/oxo-degradable bags!), Earth Rated’s Certified Compostable Waste Bags are our favorite right now!

Easy to remove sticker, easy to open bags, conceals smells better than other bags we have tried. Relatively affordable pricing, though this is definitely smaller, thinner than other vegetable-based bags you may have tried, so it may be best for smaller pups.

Grove Collaborative Laundry Detergent Review 2020 | Ultra-Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent

NOT a buy. For the cleaning power, good reduction in plastics, and lovely citrus and woods scent: we like it. We also like that it uses no synthetic dyes, fragrances or other brighteners. However, it’s just too expensive when looking at other options. Unfortunately we have to pass on Grove Collaborative’s Ultra-concentrated liquid detergent until the price changes.

Grove Collaborative Floor Cleaner Review 2020 | Floor Cleaning Concentrate, Orange & Rosemary

BUY. Grove Collaborative’s orange & rosemary floor cleaner concentrate tubes are a buy. We could not find other small packaging for floor cleaners - everything was full, diluted solution.

For the cleaning power, high reduction in plastics (as well as carbon from shipping), and for the light scent. We like what Grove Collaborative is doing with the cleaning concentrates. Two things we wish: (1) the tubes were recyclable and (2) the concentrate had fewer chemical ingredients.

The Big Bamboo Toilet Paper Roundup Review 2020 | Reel vs Plant Paper vs No 2 vs Who Gives a Crap vs Silk 'n Soft vs Cloud Paper (Updated October 2020)

There are a lot of options when it comes to bamboo toilet paper. Our recommendation as follows after trying 12 (twelve!) of them (Reel, Who Gives a Crap, Go No. 2, PlantPaper, Better Way, Silk ‘n Soft, Cheeky Panda, Cloudpaper, Brandless, Package Free, Grove Collaborative Seedling, Bippy) depends on whether you are optimizing for softness, value, or sustainability.

Blueland Powder Dish Soap Review 2020 Report | Zero Waste Dish Washing Powder

NOT a buy. Such a sad recommendation given how well the powder worked! Good ingredients, not drying on skin, fragrance-free, and great overall packaging for the zero waste conscious. But unless we figure out that the powder will last 4x longer than the same weight of liquid, we can’t recommend Blueland Powder Dish Soap, solely based on price.

We will keep using our set and if we feel that the powder lasts a really, really long time, we will update the pricing grid and switch our recommendation. OR maybe Blueland will reduce their price. :)

Public Goods Solid Shampoo Review 2020 | Zero Waste Bar Shampoo

It depends: if you don’t mind squeaky hair or want a bit of texture AND you already have a Public Goods membership, then BUY the Public Goods Shampoo bar. Perks: Zero waste, natural ingredients, extremely affordable and spa-like unisex scent. Using Public Goods Shampoo bar was similar to our experience with byHumankind: a little too ‘squeaky clean’ and/or a ‘waxy’-like. This was not enough to get us to switch from our current favorite, DuJardin’s shampoo bar.
