We are two friends living on opposite coasts (Brooklyn, New York and Santa Monica, California) that share a passion for living a minimal, zero waste lifestyle and on a mission to help others do the same.

We like Mochi’s Paws compostable dog waste bags because they are truly biodegradable, and at a reasonable price. Bags are easy to open as well. However, the bags are a bit on the smaller side — fine for our 18lb pooch, but may not be enough for larger dogs out there.
Given it’s great pricing and the CERTIFIED compostable, vegetable-based bag (a major step up from plastic or EPI/oxo-degradable bags!), Earth Rated’s Certified Compostable Waste Bags are our favorite right now!
Easy to remove sticker, easy to open bags, conceals smells better than other bags we have tried. Relatively affordable pricing, though this is definitely smaller, thinner than other vegetable-based bags you may have tried, so it may be best for smaller pups.
Given it’s great pricing and the compostable, vegetable-based bag (a major step up from plastic or EPI/oxo-degradable bags!), we recommend trying Poopsie’s dog waste bags.
But note that this is definitely smaller, thinner than other vegetable-based bags you may have tried, so it may be best for smaller pups.
While we commend Doggy Do Good’s clean product, we cannot wholeheartedly recommend given its much higher pricing.
Overall, we loved the design and brand — the product is clearly premium, thick, easy to open bags, and actually compostable! But at almost $122 a year per dog, Doggy Do Good compostable dog poop bags are THE most expensive option out there!
We like Give a Sh!t a lot, but not our top choice for a compostable dog waste bag given the price. Overall, we loved the design and brand — the product is clearly premium, thick, easy to open bags, and actually compostable! But at almost $80 a year per dog, Give a Sh!t compostable dog poop bags are definitely one of the most expensive options.
We would love it if Amazon could help us in our package-free goals.
