TANIT Revolubar Laundry Tablets: We have been doing laundry for the last few weeks with these tablets. Here is our review.
The Top Line:
Probably not a buy. We find that TANIT Revolubar Laundry Tablet ingredients might be risky in the production process, per EWG, as well as potential harm to marine life. We love that there is no PVA/PVOH. We also love that the packaging is thoughtfully crafted in compostable paper. Prices for TANIT are on the higher side, but more like in the median for other tablets and pods. Lastly, we love that the tablets are unscented.

What’s Your Impact? Mostly compostable packaging, which we like. Concentrated laundry tablets save on emissions as traditional liquid laundry detergents are usually packaged in high density polyethylene. 68% of these bottles are not recycled and contribute to the approximately 275 metric tons of plastic waste that goes into our oceans and waterways annually. A family of 4 would typically go through 5-6 plastic jugs of laundry detergent (that can be used for 64 loads) over the course of a year.
The Good:

✔ Cleaned normal and large loads well

The Experience
Context: Prior to going even greener, we have used the normal Seventh Generation (powder and liquid), Tide, and Method for all of our clothes. We have tried many new laundry pods, powders and strips/sheets, and currently fairly happy with Meliora (for powder) and their oxygen brightener powder. Here is our experience with TANIT’s Revolubar Laundry Tablets:
The tablets are easy to use and feel like normal laundry power smashed together.
One tablet for normal washes; two if you have a large or heavy load.
Leaves pretty much no scent (win).
Does not dissolve in colder, smaller, and/or more gentle washes.
The Cost
We assumed that a family of 4 will generate 7 loads of laundry a week, or 364 loads a year. We compared TANIT Revolubar Laundry Tablets with brands like Cleancult Pods, Dropps, and Meliora as well as drugstore brands like Gain Powder and Tide Powder detergents.
Money Report: Not terrible. TANIT Revolubar Laundry Tablets are priced around the middle when looking at the subscription option. However, no tablet or sheet will compare to powder detergent given how cost efficient it is.
