Cloud Paper Toilet Paper Review 2024 | Eco-friendly, Sustainable Bamboo Toilet Paper
The Top Line:
BUY. Cloud Paper Bamboo Toilet Paper is a BUY. The paper has a slightly softer touch and it is on the cheaper end of bamboo toilet paper. We like that you can buy one-time though the subscription is much cheaper. Also, if you have the space to buy the super bulk option of 80ct, Cloud Paper is among the cheapest bamboo toilet papers out there!

[Update 2024]: Due to high price inflation, we updated our cost comparison grids for toilet paper reviews. Our review for Cloud Paper CHANGED to a BUY since it is priced below the average for toilet paper AND you can now buy one-time for a premium.
The Breakdown:
Cost & Products: $46.99 for 24 rolls of Cloud Paper for a one time and $36.99 for subscription. Alternatively, you can go for the 80ct Cloud Paper option which is
How ‘Clean’ Is This? Pretty clean -- 100% bamboo, tree-free and no plastic anywhere
Packaging: Each roll is wrapped in recyclable paper (we are realizing this may be unnecessary) and the package comes in a cardboard box
Purchasing & Shipping: Straightforward - we got ours directly from the Cloud Paper site. We subscribed for “1 person” for now. Shipping is free no matter what plan you choose.
Coupons: There was a 10% first-time order discount which we weren’t offered when we checked out.
What’s Your Impact? No plastic wrapping that comes standard with store-bought TP. The TP is made from bamboo and packaging is all recyclable. Bamboo grows really quickly and requires less water and resources to grow, which makes it significantly more sustainable than tree-based toilet paper.
The Experience
Context: We have used Scott, Seventh Generation, Cottonelle, Charmin and just about every drugstore brand that exists. Seventh Generation was our recent staple until our voyage into bamboo and recycled paper during quarantine. We have tried our fair share of bamboo and recycled paper, including wrapped batch: Reel, Who Gives a Crap, and bippy. Check out the latest roundup of sustainable bamboo toilet paper here. Our experience with Cloud Paper:
Each of the rolls are wrapped like Reel, No. 2, bippy, and Who Gives a Crap. While fun and keeps the TP clean (we guess?), this seems like an excessive feature
Toilet paper does seem a bit softer than the ones we have tried — nice
No pilling, tearing, or disintegrating
Rolls feel like they are on the smaller side
Overall, we liked this TP experience
We do not love that you’re locked into a subscription
The Cost
One source suggests that the average person uses 100 rolls of toilet paper per year, so we are going to use that for cost comparison. We’ll compare mostly online brands which we’ve reviewed the past including Go No. 2, PlantPaper, Better Way and Silk ‘n Soft. We compared Cloud Paper to one drugstore brand, Quilted Northern.
Money Report: Cloud Paper TP is one of the cheapest bamboo options out on the market right now — competes with Quilted Northern. Grove Collaborative is the cheapest on the board at the moment, and requires a bit smaller of a commitment for those with smaller spaces at a 16pk vs 24pk with Cloud Paper.
The Good:
✔ Relatively soft bamboo TP
✔ Made of sustainable, eco-friendly bamboo with all recyclable packaging materials
✔ One of the cheapest bamboo options, compares to Quilted Northern
✔ One-Time and flexible subscriptions that ship every 2, 3, or 4 months
The Bad:
✗ Slightly smaller rolls
Our Recommendation:
BUY. Cloud Paper Bamboo Toilet Paper is a BUY. The paper has a slightly softer touch and it is on the cheaper end of bamboo toilet paper. We like that you can buy one-time though the subscription is much cheaper. Also, you can buy a super-bulk option of 80ct if you have the space!
