Puracy Natural Baby Shampoo & Body Wash | Low-Waste, Natural Baby Shampoo
The Top Line:
It’s ok. Puracy Natural Baby Shampoo and Body Wash is a decent refill option. The scent is derived from essential oil and very light. As a body wash, it works ok and the ingredients do not contain sulfates, parabens, or SLS. However, it’s a little knotty-feeling as an adult shampoo. Price wise it is on the expensive side but another pro is the reduction in plastic with the refill bag.

The Good:
✔ Ingredients do not have SLS, paraben, phosphate, or petroleum
✔ Reasonable price compared to other greener formulated baby shampoos and body washes

✔ Lowering the amount of plastic use with a thin, large refill
The Bad:
✗ Still wrapped in plastic

✗ Has a fragrance (but it’s from essential oil)
The Experience
Context: We have largely been using both bar shampoos (our hair care roundup here) as well as bar soaps. However, for those times when guests arrive, we have the refill ready. Also, we know that it’s a baby shampoo— and we like that. We hope Puracy’s Natural Baby shampoo and body wash be formulated to be gentle.
We washed our hair several times first and it left our hair feeling a little dry
Very similar to a typical, drugstore brand shampoo
Detangled with conditioner just fine
Used it as a body wash and saw no issues there: skin was not dry after showering
The Cost
Seeing as the product is Puracy’s Baby shampoo and body wash, we will compare it both to baby shampoos as well as adult shampoos to see where it shakes out. That will mean typical baby brands like Johnsons, Sheamoisture Baby, Babyganics, and Aveeno will be compared as well as TRESemme and Pantene.
Money Report: Off the bat, it seems pretty middle of the range, but Puracy Natural Baby Shampoo and Body Wash is cheaper than the two more “green” formulas on our list, including SHeaMoisture and Babyganics.
